Exhibition: Stone made objects
19. June 2021 @ 10:00 - 18:00
The exhibition is composed of objects from various European UNESCO Global Geoparks and is also expanded by 11 objects from the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall. Accordingly, one exhibit from each member municipality can be admired, which characterizes the region. They reflect the history, geology, nature, culture, our tradition and crafts.
A fascinating way to express local geodiversity and its role in shaping local identity is to discover and tell the stories of objects made from raw materials of the Earth’s crust. Most objects that surround us-both valuable and everyday-use rocks and minerals as raw materials. The connection between the raw material and the finished object is an expression of a dialogue between man and the earth that reveals numerous stories.
