From 22-28 May we celebrate the Nature- & Geopark Week, at the same time as all European UNESCO Global Geoparks (https://www.europeangeoparks.org/)! In addition to the big kick-off event, during this week you can look over the shoulders of our partners, discover our geosites on guided walks, enjoy a menu with regional products or win great prizes in the pub quiz.

On 4.5.-9.5. the Taste Week is going on in Brandenbourg! You will get the opportunity to visit the new domicile of the Ecole du goût (taste school) and of course to taste loads of regional products.

The first arborist training in Luxembourg will start on 3 December. All topics related to orchards (lux.: Bongerten) will be covered, so that after completing the training, one has a solid basis for planting and maintaining them.

With the Mount vum Bongert, from September 15 to October 15, we celebrate the meadow orchards and their products that are so important for us. During this time there are various events on this topic: theme-specific menus in restaurants, activities for the whole family, picking action, pressing apple juice, fruit varieties Drive-In, etc.

The Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall (NGPM for short) is delighted: at its 214th session, held in Paris from 30 March to 13 April, the Executive Board of UNESCO accepted the NPGM into the world network of UNESCO Global Geoparks.

The European Diploma for Protected Areas has been awarded by the Council of Europe since 1965. Only regions and landscapes of European importance for the preservation of biological and geological diversity are awarded. These regions must meet clear criteria and define a nature and environmental protection plan. So far, 74 regions in 29 states have been selected.
