Action day: Himalayan Balsam
July 20 @ 9:00 - 15:00
The Himalayan Balsam (Impatiens glandulifera) comes from the Himalayas and was planted in Europe by beekeepers and hobby gardeners at the end of the 19th century because of its beautiful flowers. The plant is extremely competitive, which means that it replaces native species – and it is spreading rapidly along our waters!
If you want to help stop the spreading of the Himalayan Balsam, then register now!
Registrations at elina.zepp@naturpark-mellerdall.lu or +352 26 87 82 91-30.
between Grundhof and Dillingen
The participation is free. We will take a break around noon, so bring your picnic. If you don’t want to stay as long you are free to leave whenever you want of course.
Attention: the terrain isn’t easy so you should be fit.
We kindly ask you to bring your own gloves, sturdy long pants, water and a picnic!
